MESSAGE FROM COMMISSIONER WAYNE BIGGS, JR.

I am pleased to welcome you to the official website of the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA). This site will serve as a key resource for consumers and businesses alike by providing a wide-range of information. An overview of the Department and its mission is highlighted and the application process for obtaining and renewing a business license is also available. This site is an integral part of our information campaign geared at keeping everyone fully informed on the in-house operations, functions, and helpful tools that the Department has available.

Our motto of "Serving Businesses and Assisting, Educating & Protecting Consumers" is threaded throughout the entire Department connecting our various divisions together to form a comprehensive agency dedicated to serving the people of the Virgin Islands.

We are all consumers and the staff and management of DLCA is committed to provide consumers with adequate and useful information that they can use to be a smarter consumer, maximize their purchase power, get the most for their money, and avoid potential risks. As the lead agency of consumer protection in the Virgin Islands, it is also our goal to ensure that consumers are kept informed and educated on their rights.

I encourage all consumers and business to utilize the information presented on the site. We welcome questions and comments and will continue to work diligently on incorporating new initiatives and campaigns that can be beneficial for the entire Territory of the Virgin Islands.
